My Real estate career started in Anchorage covering Anchorage, Girdwood, and the MatSu Valley.
I relocated to Fairbanks and operated my own brokerage, OWN REAL ESTATE. I also operated SKI BOOT HILL, a small Ski area with my family.
In 1990 I was hired by the USAF as a Real Estate Officer for Eielson AFB. This position gave me experience in housing management, development of military housing, and managing, disposal, and development of a growing Air Force Base, sorting out land ownership issues of very remote areas as far away a Attu.
I completed a historical survey of the base, and produced a Space utilization Plan that resolved space use assignments. Position was an essential position and I met and briefed the Base commanders often.
I worked closely with the Corp of Engineers, State of Alaska, Environmental Protection Agency, Bureau of Land Management, US Army, Fairbanks North Star Borough, FAA, and many private land owners near the base and numerous bombing ranges. I excelled at this position and attended the International Right of Way courses, numerous Corp of Engineer and Federal courses.
